Important! Turn the 2-in-1 off and disconnect it from the power supply before maintenance.

When your humidifier’s wick filter replacement indicator turns red, it’s time to change the air wick filter. This will occur after 6 months of operation, depending on the usage.

Step 1: Open the filter door by pulling the Blueair Tag.

Step 2: Gently pull the water handle up to release the humidification module and slide it out.

Step 3: Hold the buckle on each side to release the wick cover, then lift the wick frame cover off the reusable filter frame.

Step 4: Lift the wick filter off the reusable filter frame.

Important! Remove the plastic around the new wick filter.

Step 5:

Replace the new wick filter by inserting it back onto the reusable filter frame. Slide the humidification module back and close the filter door.

Step 6: Close the filter door.

Step 7: To reset the filter lifetime, press the humidification icon for 15 seconds.

You can rinse the wick filter under running water to quickly clean any residue off the filter. For a deeper clean, soak the filter in a mild or acid cleanser. 20g citric acid for every 1L of water for 1 hour. After soaking, rinse well under running tap water.

When setting up your 2-in-1 for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Remove all packaging materials
2. Rinse the water tank with clean water
3. Place on a flat, stable surface at least 6 inches from walls
4. Fill tank with clean, room temperature water
5. Plug in and power on
6. Download the app and follow pairing instructions
7. Allow 30 minutes for humidity readings to stabilize

The 2-in-1 air purifier/humidifier calculates the remaining lifetime of the filter based on actual usage and indoor pollution levels. When it is time to change the filter, the filter replacement indicator will appear red on the control panel on top of the device. The recommended time for changing your air filter 9 months. The recommended time for changing your wick water filter is 6 months.

Use only original Blueair filters compatible with your device to ensure optimal performance.

There’s no need to worry! The yellow water in your humidifier does not cause any harm and is a natural effect of leaving water out in the air for an extended period.

While there aren’t any immediate health concerns, it can be unsightly. If you notice that the water in your humidifier has turned yellow, follow these steps:

1. Empty the humidifier and clean it thoroughly with a mild detergent.
2. Rinse the humidifier with clean water to remove any detergent residue.
3. Refill the humidifier with fresh, clean water.
4. Consider using distilled or filtered water to reduce the likelihood of impurities causing discoloration.
5. Make it a habit to change the water in your humidifier regularly, to prevent the buildup of impurities.

How do I fill the water tank in my 2-in-1?

Your Blueair 2-in-1 is safe to use with clean water of your choice, including tap. It is recommended that the water tank be cleaned weakly to ensure proper operation. After refilling press any button to restart.

Option 1: Top Pour (Recommended)Turn the device to standby/off

• Before filling the water form the top, ensure the device is in standby mode.
• Carefully pour water straight down onto the waterproof display.
• Once the tank has reached 95% full, the low water indicator will flash to let you know that the tank is full.
• Note: Do not fill past the max fill line

Option 2: Bucket Fill

• Open the back of the device and take out the humidification module.
• Lift up the wick assembly and pour water directly into the tank.
• Interest the humidification module back onto the tank and slide it back into the back of the 2-in-1 device, closing the door once it’s inserted.
• Note: Do not fill past the max fill line as marked on the water tank

As with any product, a slight odor may be noticed in some filters due it its inherent material. We do our best to minimize that smell and we encourage our customers to reach out to the Blueair Customer Support teams for any questions or needs of support.

New filter​​
New products may emit an odor when opening the box, that is normal.​
All materials, including filter materials, have their own smell. The filter is enclosed by a plastic bag and a cardboard box, and the smell from the product is accumulated inside. The smell from filter media is harmless.​​
Run your air purifier and ventilate your room to air out the air purifier and its filter to reduce the new filter odor faster. ​
You may also place the new filter by an open window before using it or run your air purifier in a room where you spend less of your time first for a few days until the odor fades away. ​

Used filter /filter used in strong odor environment​​
When the filter is full and gets clogged, it can start to release a smell. To help prevent this, we recommend replacing it based on recommended lifetime.

A recommend lifetime of the filter is stated for each Blueair product however the filter lifetime is highly dependent on the environment the air purifier is in which could require more frequent replacement if you live in a high pollution prone area (ie. wildfire, sandstorms, pets, smoking...etc)

It is not possible to remove all odors but regular ventilation in addition to using air purifiers will help get rid of strong odors.​

The wick filter may develop a white or yellow buildup after some use. Mineral deposits and other debris, that originated in the water used to fill the humidifier, that have been trapped by the wick filter cause this buildup and staining.

To clean, remove the wick filter from the filter cage and rinse under running water. For a deeper clean, soak with mild or citric acid cleanser, 20g citric acid for every 1L of water for 1 hour, then rinse well under running tap water according to the instructions in the user manual.

If the lights are off but the fan seems to be working as normal, you may need to adjust the Brightness of the light indicators on your device:

A factory reset can resolve issues with your device and restore it the original settings. Please note that a factory reset will reset the filter timer and disconnect the air purifier from the Blueair app.

Steps to Perform a Factory Reset:
Press and hold the On/Standby button for approximately 15 seconds until all LEDs blink two times, then release. The humidifier will enter Standby mode once the factory reset is complete.

Important: After a factory reset, your humidifier will appear offline, which is normal. To reconnect, open the Blueair app, select "Connect," and follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect your humidifier.

If you're experiencing issues with the air quality not improving with your 2 in 1 air purifier, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

Potential Cause: After a long periods of operation, the sensor inlet may get dusty thus showing incorrect levels that do not improve.

Troubleshooting Steps:

If your air quality is consistently showing as poor, it’s likely that the air quality sensor needs to be cleaned. The inlets on the air quality sensor are located on the left side of the device. It’s important to clean the inlets and the sensor when changing the filter or when the device shows consistently poor readings.

Turn of the device and unplug the cord.

Remove the cover of the air quality sensor.

Gently vacuum the inlets with a soft brush attachment and clean the sensor with a cotton swab.

Close the cover and plug the device back in.
